Sofia Carmi graduated in Fine Arts from Ontario College of Art, Toronto, Canada. She received a Master's in Psychology from New College of California. Her work has been exhibited extensively and can be found in collections in Europe, Canada, and the USA. Sofia moved to San Francisco to follow Roy Ascott, president of the Ontario College of Art to the San Francisco Art Institute. She currently resides in San Francisco.

“Like many artists I began painting outside during the last years, which in all practical senses serves as my outdoor studio. I have also visited the Pacific Ocean, the Bay, and Crane Cove Beach”.
